Do I need a credit card for the trial?
No. The 14-day trial starts when you create your account, with no card and no commitment.
What does the one-time purchase include?
You pay once and use zkDraw for good on up to 3 computers, with every update of version 1, with no renewal. If a version 2 comes one day, it may be offered to you at a reduced upgrade price. Online backup is not included: it can be added as an option at CHF 1.90 per month. As with a subscription, zkDraw renews its licence when it is online and works for up to 30 days without a network.
What does online backup include?
Your projects are also saved on zkdraw.com, and you find them on your other computers or in My projects in your account: 1 GB of space, the last 10 versions of each project and a 30-day trash. It is included with the trial and the subscriptions; with the one-time purchase, it is an option at CHF 1.90 per month. Google Drive and Dropbox are connected directly by the app.
Are my online projects protected?
Yes. They travel encrypted and are stored encrypted on our servers, at Infomaniak in Switzerland. Only your account can reach them, from your signed-in devices or your space on zkdraw.com. Still keep your .zkd files on your computer: online backup adds to your copies, it doesn't replace them.
What happens to my online projects if I stop?
zkDraw stops sending new versions, but you can still view and download your projects for 90 days. We warn you by email 30 days before the end; on day 90 they are permanently deleted. If you take a subscription or the option again before then, everything is kept. The .zkd files on your computer are never touched.
Can I draw without a connection?
Yes. zkDraw checks your licence when it is online, then works for up to 30 days without a network. This applies to the one-time purchase too.
What happens when my subscription ends?
Your projects stay on your disk. You can still open and export them; only drawing needs an active subscription or a one-time purchase.
How do I cancel?
From your account, at any time. The subscription stays active until the end of the paid period. A one-time purchase never renews: there is nothing to cancel.
Can prices change?
Yes. If prices change, a yearly subscription keeps its price until the end of the paid year; a monthly subscription moves to the new price the following month. You are told by email at least 30 days before, and you can cancel in the meantime. A one-time purchase already paid costs nothing more.
On how many devices?
On your personal devices. Each one connects with a code, and you can remove one from your account.
Do my drawings belong to me?
Yes. A project is a .zkd file on your disk; we neither use nor see it unless you choose online backup.
